The science inside every drop.
A lubricant is 75–100% base oil and up to 25% additive chemistry. Here is how CONCEPT engineers both — and why it matters for your machinery.
The Oil Circuit
Watch the oil do its work.
01 / 05
The Sump
The journey begins — oil rests in the sump, ready to circulate.
Composition
The foundation. Its purity and stability define the lubricant's ceiling.
The tuning. Targeted chemistry for wear, cleanliness, oxidation and flow.
How it's made
Pick the base oil
Hydrocracked Group II stock, selected per application.
Add the right additives
0–25% additive chemistry tuned to the job.
Blend it all up
Agitated at 50–80°C for perfect solubility.
Quality check
Viscosity, oxidation stability, compatibility, performance.
Bottle it & ship
Automated filling lines, labelled and warehoused.
| Category | % Saturates | % Sulfur | Viscosity Index | Character |

| Group I | < 90% | > 0.03% | 80–120 | Conventional solvent-refined |
| Group II | ≥ 90% | ≤ 0.03% | 80–120 | Hydrocracked — the CONCEPT standard |
| Group III | ≥ 90% | ≤ 0.03% | > 120 | Severely hydrocracked |

Exceptional Oxidation Resistance
Protects against oil breakdown, leading to longer lubricant life and longer service intervals.
Superior Thermal Stability
Maintains viscosity and protective film strength under extreme operating temperatures.
Highly Stable Viscosity Index
Minimal viscosity change with temperature — consistent protection cold start to full load.
Outstanding Chemical Stability
Resists degradation from contaminants, combustion by-products and moisture.
High Flash Points
Lower volatility offers an extra margin of safety in hot-running engines.
Hydrocracked
Step one · deep refining
Hydrogen and a catalyst at high pressure and temperature break large hydrocarbon molecules into smaller, uniform ones — stripping out sulfur and nitrogen, lifting the viscosity index and creating a stable, oxidation-resistant base oil.
Hydrofinished
Step two · final polish
A further hydrogen treatment at even higher severity removes leftover impurities and saturates unstable molecules — enhancing purity, stability, colour and pour point. Both sit firmly inside Group II, and both are the CONCEPT standard.
Anti-wear & EP
Create a protective film that prevents metal-to-metal contact under load.
Detergents
Neutralise acids, provide TBN and keep engines internally clean.
Dispersants
Hold soot and contaminants in suspension to stop sludge and lacquer.
Antioxidants
Slow oil oxidation — the root cause of thickening and deposits.
Friction Modifiers / VI Improvers
Reduce friction and enable multigrade all-temperature performance.
Pour Point Depressants
Keep oil flowing for cold-weather starts.
